They would if the officiating is a bit fairer , instead of slapping them with unreasonable calls.

Who would trade the Lakers for Lamar Odom?

Lamar is a crutch for the Lakers and needs to be traded. He plays no defense and gets into these ballhogging grooves when he's suppose to be a point forward last time I checked. If he doesn't play the point forward he's pretty useless in my opinion. Plus he's a pretty streaker shooter. But anyways, Lakers can't win a championship with him.

I think he woud be better on an up-tempo team that run's more than the Lakers. He is a good player and deserves a trade, the LAL fans, show him little love if any at all. He will go to another team and become an allstar, just like Caron Butler did in Washington.
he'd be a good player for phoenix or dallas, but i dont think they'd want his salary or give too much up for him. maybe a team like indiana would give up a guy like mike dunleavy or maybe to atlanta for josh childress but thats kind of a stretch

they would not do so well for maybe a couple of games but as the season goes on they will develop into a full caliber team. kinda like denver they did not start so well then as they moved on they began to believe in each other and they got better despite there first round exit.

If Minnesota trades KG, then Minnesota should fold up the tent as they will find themselves with a relatively worthless and unmarketable NBA franchise.
Garnett is a great player and a helluva guy. He doesn't want to get mixed up in that jerk Kobe's mess. Phoenix would be a perfect fit for Garnett.

The trade I would really like to see is Kobe, Barry Bonds, and Michael Vick to the Russians for the Klitschko brothers and a case of Stoly's.
It looks like that may never happend, but if he was comming to the Lakers, then yes the Lakers would be back on top in the west.

No he's not , the timberwolves stated that they don't want to trade Garnett to the west side because they don't want to play against his talent, and Kobe siad himself he would like to go to the east.
Garnett would be a perfect fit for the Lakers until Kobe has him run out of town. But it would instantly restore the Lakers to a .750 team instead of the garbage they are now. And if Kobe wants out still then ship him to Chicago. A Garnett, Kobe combo would be beautiful, just hope it stays 2gether if it happens.

If Timberwolves do that, and draft either Al Harford or Joakim Noah. I think Timberwolves can also pick up a first draft pick while they're at it.
ASIDE from the fact that no one is about to give up KG for Odom and Bynum, It probably would get them back to the top but McHale would have to be on acid to agree to that trade.
Actually the Laker trade is dead. There is a 3 way team trade involving Phoenix, Boston, and Minnesota that is currently in the works. The only thing that is keeping this from being finalized is Shawn Marion. Boston wants him to sign an extension on his contract so they can get him for more than just 1 year. This is in the works as we speak

Phoenix gets Kevin Garnett

Boston gets Shawn Marion

Minnesota gets 5th overall pick and other players (unknown at this time)
