They are definitely good now, they got 1 superstar(Kobe) and 2 all-stars(gasol and odom) and 1 all-star (bynum) in the making and veteran leadership from Fisher. The only team that arguably has a better starting 5 is the Pistons.

Also Gasol is there for the long term so that gives Kobe more of a reason to stay with the Lakers and to keep these core together.

I see them having trouble when Bynum and Gasol will be playing together but they should be able to figure it out before the post season. They definitely have a chance at making a huge run in the playofs.

Gasols fantasy-wise is probably going to suffer and probably same with Bynum

Yes it probalay does and if not #1 number 2 or 3 for sureeeee. when i saw the trade happened i flipped out. It was a great deal for lakers to give kobe help he needs right now and then of course they are going to be an elite team once bynum comes back. Lets hope they go to the finals. Im probably one of the biggest laker fans ever but im not gonna sit her wasting my time writing go lakers and stuff like that
I don't know about the best team in the NBA after this season so far I don't even think it's the Spurs I think it's the Pistopns but once were fully healthy I do think we are now in a better postion to win he west Bynum %26amp; Gasol up front takes alot of pressure off of Bynum %26amp; Kobe really can't be doubled as easy with Brown he wasn't a scoring threat so people didn't even bother doubling or guarding him but now Gasol will make them pay %26amp; work extra hard
no I don't see Pau being able to defend Tim Duncan or Amare.
they are not the best, but one of the best. the best teams right are the spurs, celtics, pistons, mavs and lakers.

Even a healthy Bynum + Kobe wasn't unbeatable. Gasol's Grizzly team has lots of talent, but isn't exactly a top team. I don't see him being a guarantee in making a giant impact for the Lakers. I think there just has been a lot of pressure for LA to pick up another star to play alongside Kobe.

With Paul, Lakers is definetly going to contend for the title. Lakers was leading the west before Bynum went down.
One of the best teams, if they win the championship they can be given the title of best team.
